Elitebook 8440p Bios Password Crack
May 17, 2012 Remove bios passwords from my hp elitebook 8440P the laptop was given to me by my former employer and they never reset or removed bios password and now I cant use the laptop. I contacted the company and the support team said I needed to contact HP. Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery.
Yes, i contacted the seller, he purchased it from someone else like that. So, i want to stop the vicious cycle.someone has to put an end to this bios's reign of frustration that it has given it's past owner's. It's an awesome looking laptop that is a huge upgrade from my last HP (which also had me frustrated with the gpu issue 'no video/screen stays black'). I don't understand, HP puts out sleek designs, but it appears like they spent all of their time focusing on exterior/visual aspects and not enough time on internal components. I have 2 dead HP's that have no video, DV7-1175nr & the DV7-1285dx, but the bottom assembly comes on and i can hear the fan going.
Now, i have this EliteBook. Jaime1700 wrote: Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I am cutting and pasting. Hp Elitebook 8440p Support
I look forward to your suggestions. Jaime Hello Jaime, thanks for the information you've provided. However, the case you've provided is not an HP case. You spoke with Yogi Support. Often customers will think that they are talking with HP and are not. We do not recommend using HP in 'HP/Yogi Support'.
You were not talking with HP Support. If you would like to work with HP support, please provide me with the serial number, product number and your contact information and I can get a case started for you. So a few months back, I got an HP Core i7 Probook 6550b from my dad (that he picked up 2nd hand).
It had a busted display though. Upon repair, it was found to be BIOS Password protected. And thus began my quest. Long story short here, I did what I set out to do. I was able to reset the TPM, and clear the password.

Along the way, I have applied my technique to a few other models and have confirmed successful TPM reset. Robert francis one by one rar. This is a software based solution. Message me for details. If your machine has its boot order locked, and you can only boot to the hdd, you will need to get a usb laptop sata adapter and a new (or used) laptop sata drive.
On another host machine, connect the drive to the adapter and plug it it, and format it, making it dos bootable (my system includes all software tools needed to do this). Copy the utility to the new drive. Replace your internal hdd with the one you have just formatted and made dos bootable.
Power on your laptop and it will boot internal hdd, booting to dos. Using dos commands, navigate to the utility and run it. Im having a similiar problem with an HP4510s laptop I have. I switched it off one night however when i went back to it the next day and switched it on it asked me to put in a password. I didnt know what the password was and after three attempts at putting a password in it came back with message saying system locked. When i restart the laptop i can only press the enter key for more options - the options are F1 System Information, F2 System Diagnostics, F7 HP Spare key, F9 Boot Devices Options, F10 Bios Setup, F11 HP Recovery & F12 Network Boot.
If i choose for instance the option F10 Bios Setup it asks me what user I want to log in with however there are no users shown that I can choose from - the screen is blank. If I continue i go back to the password screen which lets me put in a password but after three times comes back and says system locked. Does anyone know where to go from here? Mark, sorry to read about your notebook password challenge. However, your password issue is different from some of the others posted in Spiceworks-after turning on your notebook you were prompted for a password. I am assuming you did not get this prompt previously.
This leads me to believe that there may be some other 'troubling' cause of your problem. You may want to contact HP Technical Support at 800 334-5144 or use the chat line by clicking. You will also noticed that @jhayton (above) has offered assistance to members with HP ProBook and EliteBook password issues. Your model appears on his list. Hello all, Seems I have a laptop with a bios password to access the f10 bios setup on a 6730b.
The hard drive was just replaced and I installed my hp windows 7 pro DVD with no problems. The HP windows 7 dvd loaded correctly and everything was looking good then I found out WLAN & Bluetooth was disabled. I then went to F10 Bios setup to discover it was password protected. I have not installed HP protect tools and was wondering what would be the correct next step since I do not know the bios password?
