Hikvision Dvr Software Activex Control

Nov 6, 2014 - Install unknown ActiveX plugin, how to enable ActiveX plugin in IE8, IE9, IE10 for IP security camera or DVR/NVR. No video in Internet Explorer. If the installation of ActiveX bar doesn't pop-up, then you need to change three ActiveX controls in your Internet Setting of IE. Run the IE browser, go to 'Tools',. The FW for the DS-7608 is V2.3.10 build 141128, which I had obtained from the US Hikvision site almost 2 years ago. I have a DS-2CD2132 that is working fine on one of the other ports. I'm thinking that the NVR FW is a bit outdated for this newer camera, but I can't find a source for newer FW for the DS-7608. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. LTS Platinum, Hikvision. I've installed this in the past and it's worked without issue. When trying to connect to the DVR, if the ActiveX control isn't installed it tells you to download it and sends you to the file. Once you download it and run it in installs a small program and the ActiveX control.

What I'm getting is the program is installing, but not the ActiveX so IE still won't open the site. If you want to look at the program it's here -in the lower right click on Download Web. The program is active.exe. I have tried it on IE9 (Windows 7) and IE 8 (Windows XP) with the same results. After installing there should be a new add on in IE that is visible in Tools, View Add-Ons and it should be: Name: NetSurveillance Control Publisher: Not Available Type: ActiveX Control Version: 1. 72 Any thoughts on what's going wrong? We have this issue with speco camera systems.

All of the files needed are kept in cab files when the activex install comes up (at least for speco). I manually extract the cab files contents to a directory.

Then run regsvr32 on all of the.dll files and the.ocx files in that directory(from a cmd window run as administrator). If you cannot identify the cab files - maybe you can find on the old machine. You can also go into IE options/security and temporarily allow all activex options - many are disabled by default. This will allow the installation. I bet you $100 you will have to use Internet Explorer 6 or 7 to use that camera dvr webpage. And it wont work on IE for mac either.

I had a client buy a new Windows 7 laptop and a Costco DVR camera system and ran into this issue. Check the documentation or the box, some of the cheap Chinese models will not state the requirements exactly. Also, if the DVR doesn't support H.264, you can't watch video on your iPhone over the internet and I would take it back for a h.264 or JAVA based one instead of ActiveX. But video isn't playing.

When I tried to register the DLL files I got the attached error. Any more ideas? Thanks for the help so far - it's almost there!
